Indian high commissioner meets PM’s defence adviser
Matters relating to bilateral defence cooperation, training, and the enhancement of regional security featured prominently in the discussion.
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma today (8 April) paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister's Defence Adviser Brigadier General (retd) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam at his office.
"A four-member delegation led by Pranay Verma met the PM's defence adviser at his office in the Armed Forces Division (AFD) of Dhaka Cantonment today," said a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate this afternoon.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged pleasantries and discussed issues of mutual interest.
Matters relating to bilateral defence cooperation, training, and the enhancement of regional security featured prominently in the discussion, the ISPR added.
They also discussed the existing strong military relations between the two countries and explored avenues to further strengthen cooperation in the days to come.
