Germany to provide €57.5 million for climate-resilient urban development in Bangladesh

Germany will provide Bangladesh with €57.5 million for climate-resilient urban development under two agreements signed today (16 April).
"The agreements—one on Technical Cooperation for the Climate Change Adapted Urban Development (CCAUD), Satkhira Component, Phase VI, and the other on Financial Cooperation for the Climate Change Adapted Urban Development Programme, Phase VII (UCRIP III)—amount to a total of €57.5 million," reads a press statement issued by the Economic Relations Division.
The signing ceremony took place in Dhaka.

Achim Troester, ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bangladesh, signed the Financial Cooperation agreement, while Michael Sumser, country director of KfW Development Bank in Bangladesh, signed the Technical Cooperation agreement on behalf of the German government.
