Foreign ministry to expand wings to boost 'Bangladesh First' diplomacy
The ministry said the initiatives aim to place the interests of Bangladeshi citizens at the forefront while strengthening the country’s presence in the global arena
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has undertaken a series of multidimensional initiatives to make Bangladesh's diplomatic engagement more effective and dynamic, with a renewed focus on the "Bangladesh First" policy.
As part of the move, the ministry has decided to expand its operations, add new wings, and reorganise existing structures to enhance institutional capacity and ensure more coordinated and timely actions across key areas, according to a ministry press release issued today (9 April).
These areas include the welfare of Bangladeshi citizens abroad, migration and expatriate affairs, cultural and sports diplomacy, climate and environmental issues, transboundary water resource management, and international security.
The ministry said the initiatives aim to place the interests of Bangladeshi citizens at the forefront while strengthening the country's presence in the global arena.
