MG HS Super Hybrid
The MG HS Super Hybrid is arguably the most balanced plug-in hybrid crossover currently available in Bangladesh. While MG remains relatively new to the local market, the HS has quickly gained attention for combining premium styling, modern technology and an efficient hybrid powertrain at a competitive price point.
Compared to the previous HS, the new Super Hybrid adopts a cleaner and more upscale design. The front fascia features slimmer LED headlamps alongside a large grille with chrome detailing. From the side, the crossover maintains a conventional SUV silhouette with subtle character lines and large alloy wheels, while the rear receives sleek taillights connected by a full-width lighting strip.
Inside, the cabin feels noticeably more premium than many competitors in this segment. Soft-touch materials cover much of the dashboard, accompanied by dual digital displays and ambient lighting. Despite its focus on efficiency, performance remains impressive. Instant torque delivery from the electric motor makes the crossover feel responsive in urban driving conditions, while highway refinement is surprisingly mature for the segment.
All things considered, the MG HS Super Hybrid represents one of the strongest value-for-money propositions currently available in Bangladesh.

Among the latest Chinese entrants in Bangladesh, the Deepal S05 is perhaps the most futuristic. Developed under Changan's premium electric sub-brand, the S05 combines coupe-inspired styling with an EV-focused driving experience that feels significantly different from conventional hybrids.
Visually, the S05 stands out immediately. The front end features sharp LED lighting signatures and a minimalist closed-off grille design, giving it a distinctly modern appearance. Flush door handles, frameless windows and aerodynamic body lines further enhance its futuristic appeal. Unlike traditional SUVs, the S05 feels more like a tech-oriented urban crossover aimed at younger buyers.
The cabin follows the same philosophy. Nearly every physical control has been replaced by digital interfaces centred around a large floating touchscreen powered by a Snapdragon 8155 chipset. Features include an augmented reality head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, powered seats and advanced voice controls.
What truly separates the S05 from rivals is its driving character. The plug-in hybrid system behaves much like an electric vehicle in city traffic, with smooth acceleration and minimal engine intrusion. In many driving conditions, the petrol engine functions primarily as a range extender rather than directly powering the wheels.
As a result, the S05 feels exceptionally refined during low-speed commuting. Ride quality is comfortable, cabin insulation is impressive and the steering remains light enough for congested urban roads.
Nevertheless, the Deepal does come with some concerns. As a newer brand in Bangladesh, long-term reliability and resale value remain uncertain. Additionally, software-heavy vehicles can sometimes present challenges related to updates and aftersales support.
Still, for buyers prioritising futuristic technology and an EV-like driving experience, the Deepal S05 remains one of the most exciting options under Tk60 lakh.
