High heels, zero pain: The doctor recommended heels by Classic Curves

To many, a pair of heels is more than just footwear—it's a confidence booster. However, as is often the case with fashion, style sometimes comes at a cost. Many people struggle to wear heels due to physical discomfort, medical conditions, or lack of proper support.
Recognising this gap, local brand Classic Curves, founded by Jannat Fatema Haque, introduced a line of doctor-recommended heels about four months ago. The response was overwhelming—the collection sold like hotcakes, with over 2,500 pairs sold to date.
Doctor-recommended heels are designed with orthopaedic support, ensuring style without compromising on comfort. These heels are crafted to minimise foot strain and discomfort, making them a go-to choice for individuals seeking both elegance and ease.

"Our heels are loved by women across all age groups, from teenagers to women in their seventies. They can wear them all day without any pain or discomfort," said Fatema.
Currently, Classic Curves offers four designs of doctor-recommended heels in multiple colour options. The brand imports doctor-certified soles from China and manufactures the shoes at its Lalbagh-based factory in Dhaka.
"These heels have truly been a game-changer in the footwear industry," said Fatema.
"One of my clients told me she hadn't been able to wear heels for 12 years due to chronic back pain, but now, thanks to our doctor-recommended heels, she can wear them comfortably again."
Fatema founded Classic Curves in 2018, when she had just started university. Initially, she imported shoes from the UK, and her first major launch—crystal transparent heels—became a sensation, selling around 7,000 pairs.
By 2020, she took her business a step further by setting up her own factory, allowing her to produce shoes in-house. Now, she aims to develop doctor-recommended soles locally instead of importing them.
At Classic Curves, regular heels are priced between Tk1,000 to Tk3,000, while doctor-recommended heels range from Tk2,500 to Tk3,500.
