International education fair 2026 to be held in Dhaka on 9 August
An international education fair offering students opportunities to explore overseas study options and scholarships of up to 100% will be held at Lakeshore Hotel in Gulshan-2, Dhaka, on Sunday, 9 August
The fair, organised by PAC Asia Study Abroad, will take place at the hotel's La Vita Hall on Road 41 from 11am to 4pm, according to the organisers.
Entry and registration will be free and open to all.
Representatives from universities and educational institutions in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and Malaysia are expected to attend the event.
The organisers said students would be able to have their academic profiles assessed directly by university representatives and explore scholarship opportunities ranging from 25% to 100%, depending on their eligibility and the policies of individual institutions.
Participating Australian institutions will include the University of Western Australia, University of Technology Sydney, RMIT University, Curtin University, Griffith University, Deakin University and Western Sydney University.
From the United Kingdom, Canterbury Christ Church University, the University of South Wales, Hartpury University and Hartpury College, and Regent College London are expected to participate.
The University of Pécs in Hungary will represent Europe at the fair.
Participating institutions from the United States will include California State University San Marcos, DePaul University, the University of Hartford, Florida Atlantic University, James Madison University, Texas A&M University, the University of Bridgeport and William Paterson University, among others.
Asia Pacific University, INTI International University and Colleges, and Raffles University will participate from Malaysia.
University representatives and education-sector experts from Canada and New Zealand will also be present.
Visitors will be able to receive information on university application procedures, scholarships, part-time and full-time employment opportunities, post-study work permits, sponsorship, accommodation and IELTS preparation.
The organisers said applicants may also receive application-fee waivers or discounts from several universities if they submit their applications during the fair.
