Acrylic Eidi holder: Going beyond the envelope this Eid
Similar to the packaging of pencil batteries, the Acrylic Eidi holders by Gift Innovations feature a transparent case where a neatly rolled currency note is secured against an acrylic board

The tradition of giving Eidi or monetary gifts during Eid has been cherished for centuries. Dating back to the Middle Ages, Fatimid rulers would distribute food, clothes, and money to their people as part of the celebrations. While customs may have evolved across cultures, the essence remains unchanged - spreading joy through generosity.
For many, receiving Eidi is exciting in itself, but the excitement doubles when the giver adds a creative touch. This Eid, local brand Gift Innovations is redefining how Eidi is presented with their unique acrylic Eidi holders.
This Eid, local brand Gift Innovations introduced a unique twist to traditional Eidi presentation with their acrylic Eidi holders. The design resembles a pencil battery package, where the battery is secured in a transparent holder against firm paper.
The Eidi holders also feature a transparent case where a neatly rolled currency note is secured. Replacing the usual paper backing, a beautifully crafted acrylic board adds an innovative touch. The case comes with an adhesive sticker, allowing it to be effortlessly attached to the board.

"The transparent cases are not available locally. I import them from Malaysia, while the acrylic sheets are sourced and crafted here," says Mushfeka Mehnao Rahman, the creative mind behind Gift Innovations.
The response has been overwhelming. Over 1,000 units have already been sold this season, proving that thoughtful presentation can make a simple gift feel even more special.
Gift Innovations, founded by Mushfeka in 2012, was born out of her passion for arts and crafts. A firm believer in the power of personalised gifts, she has spent years curating products that add an extra layer of sentimentality to gift-giving.
The brand specialises in announcement gift boxes, "dala" (traditional decorative trays), and customised keepsakes. Mushfeka, a Malaysian resident, handpicks materials from abroad and ships them to Bangladesh, where her factory team assembles and transforms them into creative gift items.
Last year, she introduced a similar Eidi holder featuring a paper backing instead of acrylic, which also became a bestseller, selling over 750 units.
This year's acrylic Eidi holders take the concept a step further, blending innovation with tradition, a demonstration of how small details can make gift-giving even more memorable.
