Fashion brand Solasta begins its journey

To meet the fashion needs of youngsters, the brand Solasta was launched with the motto, "Be New, Be You" on Januray 31 at the Utsav Banquet Hall of Hotel Radisson Blu Water Garden, according to a press release.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Asaduzzaman Noor MP and Special Guest BGMEA President Dr Rubana Huq. Managing Director of Modele Group Masuduzzaman presided over the festive occasion.

In his speech, Asaduzzaman Noor said, "Bangladesh has achieved a lot in terms of economic development, but our country is yet to shine before an international audience. Therefore, we need to rise up with our own brands and I believe, Solasta, is capable of doing so."

Dr Rubana Huq said, "Our negligence caused muslin and jamdaani to lose their glory. This needs to change. Let us all work together to establish our country's brands in the global platform."

Masuduzzaman said, "Solasta means vividness and brilliance. So we aim to spread this light to every corner of Bangladesh. With your support and love, we will surely win hearts everywhere."

Following a choreography by theatre group Prachyanat, where it showed the evolution of fashion trends in Bangladesh, there was a dazzling ramp show led by Azra Mahmood.

After an hour-long performance by the band Chirkut, the guests were served dinner.
