Rethinking possibilities with Huawei Mate 30 Pro

When we think of a device these days, we either think of an Android operating system or iOS. But with the launch of Huawei's latest device, the smartphone giant has pushed the boundaries of possibilities by introducing Huawei Mobile Services (HMS).

With the Mate 30 Pro, Huawei has boldly stepped into a new era where customers can avail their most favourite apps through Huawei's App Gallery feature.

The Mate 30 Pro is a beauty all by itself. The curvaceous screen melds over the side of the phone. Huawei named this technology a "Horizon Display" and device's curved sides are more dramatic than any other curved glass phones available in the market. This makes the handset feel more angular than some of its curvy rivals and it is more comfortable in the hand as a result. Also, because of its curves, Huawei has used only a single button on the device and the volume buttons now got hidden inside the display.

By tapping either side of the Horizon Display twice, you can summon a volume slider that gives an opportunity to adjust the sound just by moving the finger up or down. The biggest benefit of the new module is, you can change the volume easily whether you're holding the phone with your left or right hand.

The newly-designed Mate 30 Pro runs on Huawei's Kirin 990 AI chipset, a step up from the already very fast 980 found in the P30 Pro. The phone also has an IP-68 ratings which means there will be no reason to be worried if the phone gets drenched in water.

In terms of security, Huawei has kept things pretty simple yet sophisticated. There is a fast display fingerprint sensor along with facial scanners housed in its notch. Not only does the handset deliver fast and secure 3D facial unlocking, the phone is also more aware of the user than any other device in the market.

The best example of expanded functionality in Mate 30 Pro is the ability to hide notifications whenever it spots someone peeking over the user's shoulder. As soon as those sensors spy an unfamiliar face looking on the screen, the content preview in the notification vanishes – leaving the intruders with a stream of empty bubbles. This privacy-focused feature is perfect for someone who really do not want others to see their personal notifications. Additionally, the Huawei handset also adjusts the orientation of content in accordance with the angle the user is looking at it.

With a quad camera setup encircled in a 'halo', combining two 40MP SuperSensing Cine units with an 8MP telephoto and 3D depth sensing lens, the Mate 30 Pro is probably the best camera phone available in the market. And with features like Ultra Slow Motion, Super Low-Light Mode and Artificial Intelligence it can truly deliver awe-inspiring pictures.

The newly launched phone in terms of memory and storage are industry leading. The phone has a ram of 8GB and an internal memory of 128GB and 256GB in two variants which is further expandable by 256GB. Additionally the power house of the phone, the 4500MaH battery replenishes rapidly with Huawei's 40W SuperCharge, which fully charges in just over an hour.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro is now available in Bangladesh in black and space silver colours and it is currently priced at Tk99,999.
