Govt prepares for super cyclone Amphan

The government has prepared a total of 10,409 shelter centres and formed medical teams with 1,757 members in 19 district as a precautionary measure for the approaching super cyclone Amphan.
The Health Emergency Operations Center & Control Room has provided disaster management necessary information to deal with Amphan.
The medical teams have been formed consisting - medical officers and assistant surgeons, senior staff nurses, midwives, deputy assistant community medical officers, health assistants, CHCP and other staff of the concerned facility, according to a government circular.
Adequate stock of medicines has been ensured at Central Medical Stores Depot (CMSD), Department of Health, Dhaka. The leave of all the health department employees near to the risky areas has been canceled, according to the issued notice.
