How often do you get to listen to an album on which talented ladies sing and simultaneously play instruments? Well, alternative country band, Puss N Boots is different in precisely that regard.

Three members of the band – Norah Jones, Sasha Dobson and Catherine Popper – are equally-talented vocalists and multi-instrumentalists who sync perfectly with each other on their second album.

The album, "Sister," is pure bliss for music lovers, as the three ladies have lent their voices to – and played various instruments for – the album, demonstrating their amazing talent.

The album – featuring 14 songs – is a collection of original songs written by the band members independently and collectively, along with covers by: Tom Petty, "Angel Dream;" Dolly Parton, "The Grass is Blue;" Paul Westerberg, "It's a Wonderful Lie;" and Concrete Blondie, "Joey."

Norah Jones plays the lead guitar in "Jamola" which is the album's opening number. The instrumental number creates a soothing feeling in listeners' hearts.

Popper's voice in "It's Not Easy" feels like melted caramel – for the ears. This is a song that will stick with you forever once you give it a listen. I am sure it will be on the "must-listen list" of any music fan on a road trip. "You Don't Know," is another perfect road trip song, for its sing-along choruses and melodic lead guitar line.

Jones' rendition of the song makes it a calming number. Jones plays the riffs and Sasha picks up the bass in "It's Not Easy."

"Nothing You Can Do" is a sassy rock number that takes listeners back to the 80s. The powerful chorus associated with Dobson's guitar riffs make the song perfect.

"Lucky" is a melodic number with acoustic guitar and three-part harmonies. The bass line throughout the song "You and Me" gives it a classic rock music vibe.

The "It's a Wonderful Lie" cover picks up the pace with the drum beats by Norah Jones.

The lyrics of "The Razor Song" highlight male characteristics – perhaps a personal experience reflected in the music. The song creates an indie country music feel.

"Same Old Bullshit," is easily the number most-likely to get the audience joining in on the chorus during a live performance.

The last song of the album is the cover of Dolly Parton's "The Grass is Blue." Puss N Boots pays tribute to Dolly Patron with this cover.

In 2008, Norah Jones, Sasha Dobson, and Catherine Popper formed Puss N Boots in order to jointly play music and try new things.

Since then, the trio has played at various venues and music festivals – including the Clearwater Festival, Green River Festival, and the Newport Folk Festival. They also opened for Neil Young.

The trio signed up with Blue Note Records and released their debut album, "No Fools, No Fun" in 2014.

This year, Puss N Boots performed, "The Grass is Blue" at the Grammy MusiCares charity event honouring Person of the Year Award recipient, Dolly Parton.
