Gondi releases first song

Actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty, known for his portrayal of detective Prodosh Chandra Mitra aka Feluda, attended the shooting of the cinema "Gondi" alongside Subarna Mustafa in Cox's Bazar and Dhaka a few months back. Till now the team was busy with the editing and post-production of film. But now, the time has come for the project to shift into the second gear. Very soon the audience will be able to view the film on the silver-screen as per the film's director, Fakhrul Arefin. Keeping that in mind, the first track of the film was released yesterday night.

The song titled "Gondi Chhariye Bondhu Dujon" was released in YouTube by Gorai Films in their channel and also the official Facebook page of "Gondi".

The lyric of the song was written by West Bengal lyricist, Bishwaraj Bhattacharya with the composition and tune being done by Loy and Deep. The song was voiced by up and coming singer Deep from West Bengal. In this regard the singer stated, "Unselfish friendship is cherished by everyone. And it was a great pleasure on my part having the opportunity to sing the song which expresses that wonderful journey of friendship. Hopefully the audience will find the song to their liking."

Being a romantic comedy, the plot of the film revolves around the friendship between a 55 year old woman and 65 year old man. Besides Sabyasachi and Subarna Mustafa, other cast members of the movie includes Shubhashish Bhowmik, Majnun Mizan, Aparna Ghosh and Aman Reza.

Dwelling on the newly released song Arefin said, "The song expresses the ingenuousness of friendship which is also informs the storyline. It will remind us about our incredible moments with our friends."
