Olympic Industries reports 10% revenue surge in Jul-Mar

Olympic Industries, the country's leading branded biscuit manufacturer, has reported a 10% growth in revenue in the first nine months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
During the July to March period, its revenue jumped to Tk2,143 crore, up from Tk1,941 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
Its profit grew by 1.11%, reaching Tk159.29 crore, according to its financial statement. Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk7.97.
Regarding its revenue boosts, the biscuit maker said its revenue increased by 10% during the period, mainly due to effective measures taken by the management to boost sales.
However, in the third quarter, during January to March, revenue fell by 0.42% to Tk652 crore, while profit after tax rose by 1.58% to Tk43 crore.
Olympic Industries share closed 0.46% lower at Tk151.40 at the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday (4 May).
Earlier it had paid a 10% cash dividend to its shareholders for the last fiscal year, which was significant lower from 60% cash in the previous year.
