DSE turnover fells below Tk150 crore mark
DSEX fell by 12 points to close at 6,189 and the blue-chip index DS30 plunged 3 points to 2,191 on Monday

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) turnover dropped below Tk150 crore mark on Monday amid poor participation of investors who lacked confidence owing to the economic uncertainty.
At the end of the session, the total turnover of DSE stood at Tk146.51 crore, which was 18% lower than the previous session.
Earlier, in 2020, the investors witnessed lower turnover caused by Covid-19 restriction.
Besides, on Monday, the key index DSEX of the DSE also fell by 17 points to close at 6,177 and the blue-chip index DS30 plunged 2 points to 2,191.
Out of 329 companies' shares being traded, only 7 stocks increased, where 158 declined and 164 unchanged.
The newly listed firm Islami Commercial Insurance shares was the top gainer with over 9% price hike on the day. Its shares closed at Tk33.9 at the end of the session. Orion Infusion had the worst shares as it lost 7.49% price.
Chittagong Stock Exchange's all share price index (CASPI) also decreased by 34 points to close at 18,258.
