DSE to remain closed on 5 August for 'July Mass Uprising Day'
Trading and regular office activities will resume on 6 August

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) will remain closed on 5 August 2025, following the government's declaration of the day as a public holiday to mark "July Mass Uprising Day."
Trading and regular office activities will resume on 6 August.
The closure comes in response to a gazette notification issued by the Interim Government of Bangladesh on 2 July 2025, which officially designated August 5 of every year as a national holiday in recognition of the historic July mass uprising.
The DSE has advised all market participants to plan accordingly in light of the trading suspension.
