Desco posts Tk58.32cr profit in July-September quarter
Despite the profit, the company did not recommend any dividend for FY25, citing previous high losses

Dhaka Electric Supply PLC (Desco) reported a net profit of Tk58.32 crore in the first quarter of the 2025–26 fiscal year, marking a strong turnaround from a loss of Tk0.81 per share in the same quarter last year.
According to the company's price-sensitive statement, earnings per share (EPS) rose to Tk1.47 during the July–September period. Revenue also increased to Tk227 crore, up from Tk213 crore a year earlier.

Meanwhile, Desco shares fell 2.16% to close at Tk18.10 today (12 November) at the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
