CSE, UFTCL sign API sharing agreement
The CSE began sharing its API five years ago, while the DSE began it recently

After signing an agreement with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), United Financial Trading Company Ltd (UFTCL) inked another deal with the Chattogram Stock Exchange (CSE) to share the bourse's application programming interface (API).
Mamun-Ur-Rashid, the managing director of CSE, and Abdul Awal, chairman of UFTCL, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Hasnain Bari, CSE deputy general manager and head of IT services, and UFTCL Director Hassan Zabed Chowdhury were among the representatives of both organisations who were present at the agreement signing ceremony held at CSE's Dhaka office on Sunday.
The CSE began sharing its API five years ago, while the DSE began it recently.
LankaBangla Securities, the top stockbroker, inked the first API sharing deal with both bourses.
UFTCL is the fourth brokerage firm to share CSE's "Millennium Matching Engine's" API.
API sharing will enable stockbrokers to order and trade directly in the bourse's trading platform from their own interface.
Also, the sharing of the APIs by both bourses will enable a broker to serve its clients more efficiently.
The CSE managing director told at the agreement signing event that his office would ink the deal with all interested brokerage firms that have dual membership.
