Team Group's garment becomes Bangladesh's 258th green factory
With this achievement, it has become the country’s 258th USGBC-certified green garment factory. Of these, 109 are Platinum, 133 are Gold, 12 are Silver, and 4 are Certified.

South End Sweaters, a sweater unit of Team Group, has received LEED Platinum certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
According to a press release issued by the group yesterday (13 August), with this achievement, it has become the country's 258th USGBC-certified green garment factory. Of these, 109 are Platinum, 133 are Gold, 12 are Silver, and 4 are Certified.
Under USGBC standards, factories must score at least 80 out of 110 points to achieve Platinum status, 60–79 for Gold, 50–59 for Silver, and 40–49 for Certified. South End Sweaters earned 85 points.
With South End Sweaters, Team Group now operates three LEED-certified factories: its outerwear unit, 4A Yarn Dyeing Limited (LEED Platinum), and woven unit, Brothers Fashion Limited (LEED Gold).
Notably, 4A Yarn Dyeing Ltd is the world's first outerwear manufacturing company to become a signatory to the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, convened by the UNFCCC, the release added.
Deputy Managing Director of Team Group, Abdullah Hil Nakib, said, "We have always aimed to set benchmarks not only in business standards but also in sustainability. Our efforts to achieve LEED certifications are a testament to our commitment to environmental sustainability."
