In Gulshan, workers of Paradise group have protested in front of the owner’s home at Gulshan Avenue in Dhaka demanding their salaries that have been due for 10 months

Readymade garments (RMG) workers held protests in Dhaka and Gazipur on Sunday, demanding arrears as well as reopening of their workplaces.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Amjad Hossain told The Business Standard that workers of Paradise Group demonstrated in front of the owner's home at Gulshan Avenue in the capital, demanding their salaries due for 10 months.

At Ashulia, 400 workers of Orbit Knit garments factory in Kathgora area stopped working and held protests demanding their salaries in arrears.

Meanwhile, around 350 workers of Smart Knit garments at Bangabandhu Road in the area held protest demanding compensations.

Workers of Rakef Apparels at Padmar protested demanding advance salaries while 700 workers of Dong Leaon BD at Shimul Tola demanded arrears.

Four hundred workers of Agies Textile in the Agies Gate area gathered at the entrance to the factory for their due salaries.

In Gazipur, 700 workers of SpaceSweater Ltd in Parijat, Konabari and 200 workers of Knight Angled Fashion Ltd held protests for their wages for the months of March and April.

Around 400 workers of Baily Shema Apparels Ltd at the Tongi Bscic protested in front of the factory gate demanding reopening of the factory while workers of ATS Sweater Lts at Sreepur protested for their unpaid wages of April.
