The Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BKMEA) has decided on Sunday to keep all the knitwear factories under the organisation shut till April 11.

Confirming the matter to The Business Standard, BKMEA First Vice President Mohammad Hatem said, "The board has taken this decision at an emergency meeting headed by its President AKM Selim Osman on Saturday night."

 "The decision was made in line with the government's order on general holiday," he added.

Earlier, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) also decided on Saturday night to keep all the factories shut till April 11.
