Maj Gen (Retd) Nazrul Islam joins BEZA as Executive Member
Major General (Retd) Md Nazrul Islam has joined the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) as Executive Member (Planning and Development), according to a press release issued by BEZA today (20 July).
"He will now work to make five priority economic zones—National Special Economic Zone, Jamalpur, Sreehatta, Moheshkhali, and Japanese Economic Zone—ready for investment within the targeted timeframe," says the press release.
Previously, Nazrul Islam served as the Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA).

During his military career in the Bangladesh Army, Nazrul Islam held several key positions in command, staff and training capacities.
"His appointment is expected to bring new momentum to BEZA's planning and development efforts," the press release added.
