2 more factories in Gazipur get LEED certification
With these latest additions, the total number of LEED-certified RMG factories in the country has risen to 275.
Two more readymade garment (RMG) factories in Gazipur have recently received Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
The two newly certified units are located in Sreepur, Gazipur.
MNR Sweaters Ltd achieved the highest tier of certification, earning a Platinum rating under the LEED v4.1 Operations and Maintenance (Existing Buildings) category with 85 points.

Fashion Floor BD Ltd secured a Gold rating under the LEED v4 Building Design and Construction (New Construction) category, scoring 71 points.
With these latest additions, the total number of LEED-certified RMG factories in the country has risen to 275.
According to information shared by Mohiuddin Rubel, additional managing director of Denim Expert Ltd and a former director of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), the country's green manufacturing portfolio now includes 116 Platinum-rated and 140 Gold-rated factories.
Bangladesh currently has 70 of the top 100 highest-rated LEED factories in the world.
