Westin, Sheraton Dhaka announce Ramadan buffet offers with Bank Asia
As Ramadan approaches, The Westin Dhaka and Sheraton Dhaka, in partnership with Bank Asia PLC, announced a month-long Ramadan buffet featuring local, Mediterranean, Arabic and sub-continental cuisine.
The hotels said the menus have been curated by chefs Rimoun Obaid, Swapan Rozario, Hiromi Yonekawa and Sait Dursan.
At The Westin Dhaka, guests can dine at Seasonal Tastes, which will offer a Mediterranean and Arabic-inspired spread. Highlights include lobster kebab, grilled salmon, lamb shank, Arabic kabsa, Dhakaiya handi gosht and slow-cooked oxtail stew, alongside desserts such as Turkish tulumba, pistachio baklava and live knafeh.
At Sheraton Dhaka, The Garden Kitchen will offer local and international dishes, including Peshwari beef nalli nehari, Turkish kebabs, beef handi gosht, lamb ouzi and seafood paella, as well as Old Dhaka-style kebabs. Desserts will include Turkish baklava varieties such as sobiyet and cold milk baklava, along with katayef kashta and mushabak halabi, the hotel said.
Buffet iftar and dinner prices are set at Tk11,990 at The Westin Dhaka and Tk12,990 at Sheraton Dhaka.
For suhoor, Seasonal Tastes and The Garden Kitchen will operate on Thursdays, Fridays and nights before government holidays, offering buffet suhoor at Tk6,990 (The Westin Dhaka) and Tk7,990 (Sheraton Dhaka).
The hotels also announced card-based offers, including buy one, get one (B1G1) with selected cards from more than 21 banks, as well as B1G2 and B1G3 deals with selected banks on specific terms. Bank Asia cardholders will be able to avail a B1G3 promotion on iftar followed by dinner, and suhoor throughout the month at both hotels, according to the organisers.
The hotels also said diners at Seasonal Tastes will have a chance to win a return air ticket from Novoair, while diners at The Garden Kitchen may win return air tickets from Air Arabia and Novoair.
For takeaway, the hotels will offer iftar boxes in three categories. The Westin Dhaka's boxes are priced at Tk11,990 (Platinum), Tk8,990 (Gold) and Tk7,990 (Silver). Sheraton Dhaka's boxes are priced at Tk12,990 (Luxury), Tk9,490 (Premium) and Tk8,490 (Classic). Traditional items such as shahi haleem and jalebi will also be available for pick-up at both hotels.
For corporate and group programmes, the hotels said they will offer banquet packages for iftar, dinner and suhoor. Sheraton Dhaka's grand ballroom and annex area can accommodate more than 1,000 guests, the organisers said.
