Wecon properties introduces ‘Pay Once, Earn Now’ scheme at Ctg REHAB Fair
Wecon Properties, a concern of the Chattogram-based real estate and construction solution company P2P Family, is set to introduce a unique scheme titled 'Pay Once, Earn Now' on the occasion of REHAB Fair-2025, which is scheduled to kick off on Thursday at Hotel Radisson BLU in the city.
Under this scheme, property buyers will start receiving a return on their investment to purchase a flat with a one-time payment in the form of rental income from their flat.
Architect Mahadi Iftekher, Director of Wecon Properties, announced this at a press conference held Tuesday morning at the company's office in the Mehedibag area.
He said, "Buyers will not only receive a huge discount when purchasing a flat through full payment but will also start earning rental income from the day they make the payment until the flat is handed over, and the rent will be fixed as per market depending on the location of the project."
"We are the first real estate company in the country to introduce such a unique scheme for property buyers," he added.
"Many people in our country do not prefer to earn interest by depositing money in banks. When they buy a flat with full payment at once, they do not receive any return on their investment, even though it takes two to three years or more to hand over the flat. We are introducing this scheme for buyers who can make a one-time payment and secure a 'halal' income as house rent," Architect Iftekher explained.
He emphasised that this scheme would benefit buyers, give the company sufficient capital to complete construction projects quickly, and save them from paying high bank interest.
Speaking at the press conference, Mostafa Ashraful Islam Alvi, Managing Director of P2P Family, said, "We started our journey in 2019. So far, our progress has been slow and steady. We have focused on undertaking projects in prime locations and have never compromised on quality. To date, we have handed over three projects and are currently running 25 projects—21 in Chattogram, three in Dhaka, and one in Comilla."
"We have introduced the latest technology to ensure the best quality in the market. Additionally, we have deployed a research and development team to identify loopholes in the construction industry and minimise the gap between the desire and reality of customers and landowners," Alvi said.
Responding to a query, Alvi said, "We have been working to ensure that our projects provide sufficient ventilation, as better airflow reduces energy consumption. The energy required for common spaces in our buildings is sourced from solar power to make our projects environmentally friendly."
However, he noted that typical green building technology is expensive and not commercially viable in Bangladesh.
The press conference was also attended by Engineer Najim Uddin, Director of Engineering and Construction, Major (Retd.) Mohammad Aminul Hoque, CEO of P2P Family; Nazmul Ben Abedin, Head of Business P2P Family; Engineer Debashis Paul, Chief Technical Officer of Wecon Properties; Mohammad Nazmul Hosen, General Manager; Ramen Das Gupta, Group DGM of P2P, and Mohammad Hasan, consultant sales and marketing, among others.
