Varendra University hosts Hult Prize on-campus preliminary round
The on-campus preliminary round of the Hult Prize at Varendra University was held with the participation of 27 student teams, showcasing innovative ideas aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aiming to deliver practical, real-life solutions.
The preliminary round was judged by Md Khalid Sakib, lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Varendra University and start-up mentor of the UIHP VU Cohort, and Md Saiam Bin Islam, chief executive officer and founder of Technowren.
The event drew strong participation from students across various departments and received a positive response on campus.
Following a rigorous evaluation process throughout the day, 10 teams were selected to advance to the final round of the Hult Prize at Varendra University. The qualifying teams are Bioloop, Kizuna, Bioheal Tape, EcoProtein, GreenLoop, Edumind, Prescrima, Agronex, CampusCare, and Ukil.
Organisers said the Hult Prize on-campus competition for the 2025–26 cycle aims to encourage student-led innovation that addresses real-world challenges through sustainable and scalable solutions.
