Uttara university signs mou with ICMAB
Uttara University and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 28 August 2025, with support from the School of Business Administration and the Office of External Affairs.
The agreement marks a significant step towards academic and professional collaboration, offering new opportunities for students, faculty, and professionals through knowledge sharing, skill development, and career-focused initiatives.
Under the MoU, Uttara University grants business graduates hassle-free admission to ICMAB with exemptions for six courses.
Professor Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha, Vice Chancellor, and Professor Dr Gour Gobinda Goswami, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Uttara University, attended the signing ceremony. Md Kausar Alam FCMA, vice president; Mohammed Jahangir Alam FCMA, council member; and Md. Abdul Maleque, additional director, represented ICMAB. Mohammad Ali, Controller of Examinations, and Dr. Ishrat Hossain, Dean of the School of Business Administration, also participated.
This collaboration demonstrates Uttara University's commitment to providing professional exposure and connecting academic knowledge with industry practices. By working closely with ICMAB, the university intends to strengthen capacity building, facilitate research, and enhance professional training for its students and alumni.
