Uttara university pays tribute to teachers’ devotion and excellence

Uttara University organised a seminar and special award ceremony on World Teachers' Day to honour the dedication and contributions of its long-serving faculty members.
At the event, ten teachers were presented with honorary crests in recognition of their two decades of sincere and successful service in teaching.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha attended the ceremony as the chief guest and handed over the awards to the recipients. "Teachers are not only transmitters of knowledge but also architects of humanity. Through their wisdom, morality, and compassion, they play a vital role in building a progressive society. Uttara University is truly proud of its devoted and inspiring teachers," she said.
She added, "The success of Uttara University stands on the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of our teachers. Their commitment to education, research, and ethical values continues to enlighten students and nurture creativity, leadership, and humanity among them."
Two senior faculty members reflected on their teaching journey, saying, "Uttara University is not just our workplace — it is our second home. Being a teacher here means shaping the next generation. We wish to continue this noble mission for the rest of our lives."
To add to the festivities, a raffle draw was held for faculty members from different departments, where ten teachers received attractive prizes, creating an atmosphere of excitement and celebration.
The programme was jointly supported by the Office of Brand and Communication and the Office of Public Relations of Uttara University. Deans, department chairpersons, professors, teachers, the registrar, and administrative officials attended the event, marking the day with heartfelt respect and appreciation for the teaching community.
