Uttara University, BUFT join hands to promote campus discipline and welfare
Uttara University (UU) hosted a collaborative meeting with the Proctorial Team of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, at its campus in Uttara.
The session focused on strengthening cooperation between the two institutions and exploring opportunities to ensure a disciplined, safe, and student-friendly campus environment.
The meeting aimed to develop joint strategies for promoting campus peace, discipline, and student welfare. Both universities underscored the importance of creating a secure, supportive, and academically conducive atmosphere for students.
During the discussion, the teams shared best practices on campus monitoring systems, student engagement initiatives, and proactive disciplinary measures. They also explored potential collaborative workshops, joint activities, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
Professor Dr A S M Shahabuddin, Proctor of Uttara University, said, "As part of our boundary-spanning activities, the two proctorial teams from BUFT and UU met today to explore ways to strengthen collaboration." He emphasised the importance of workshops built around the mind over muscle theme for students.

BUFT's Proctorial Team expressed gratitude for UU's hospitality and stressed the significance of inter-institutional cooperation.
The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to continue joint initiatives aimed at enhancing student well-being and holistic development.
