USET holds first Academic Council meeting

The University of Skill Enrichment and Technology (USET) held its first Academic Council Meeting today at its Conference Room, Kazibari Bus Stand, Bhuigar, Fatullah, Narayanganj.
The meeting was presided over by Professor Dr Engr A K M Fazlul Haque, Vice-Chancellor (Designate) of USET. Distinguished external members — Professor Dr Sabina Yeasmin of the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, University of Dhaka, and Professor Dr Mohammad Junaebur Rashid of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Dhaka — joined alongside senior academic and administrative officials of USET.
Key agenda items included approval of academic policies, curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and ensuring quality assurance in line with global standards under the Private University Act 2010 and University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines.
Terming the meeting a "historic beginning," Professor Haque said:
"Today's meeting marks a new chapter for USET. We are committed to building a skill-driven, research-oriented and globally connected university that will prepare our students to thrive in the competitive job market of tomorrow."
The Academic Council members reaffirmed their commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and global competitiveness, noting that USET will continue close collaboration with UGC and industry stakeholders to establish a student-centred, internationally recognised higher education model.
