United Medical College Hospital opens new cardiac centre at Madani Avenue

United Medical College Hospital inaugurated its state-of-the-art United Cardiac Center at Madani Avenue, Satarkul, on 29 September, coinciding with World Heart Day.
The event brought together healthcare professionals, academicians, senior officials and distinguished guests.
"Our vision is to make comprehensive healthcare accessible for all. With the United Cardiac Center, our plan is to introduce complex surgeries in Bangladesh that were once considered beyond reach. By doing so, we hope to build a strong reputation not only in our country but also internationally," said Prof Dr AQM Mohsen.
United Group's Chairman and Managing Director, Moinuddin Hasan Rashid, said: "With this center, we aim to reduce the need for patients to travel abroad for treatment and ensure Bangladesh has access to world-class cardiac care."
Prof Dr Mohsin Ahmed, Chief Consultant and Director, Cath Lab, Department of Cardiology, also spoke at the event, followed by presentations from Dr Md Rowsan Masud, Prof Dr Mofassel Uddin Ahmed and Dr Syed Mohammed Atique on the center's advanced treatment capabilities.
Dr Azharul Islam Khan, Medical Services Director, and Dr Md Abdul Wakil, Principal, welcomed guests. Among attendees were architect and filmmaker Enamul Karim Nirjhar, architect and actress Aupee Karim, along with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, department heads and senior administrative officials.
The United Cardiac Center will provide consultations, diagnostics, interventions and surgeries under one roof, promising world-class quality and compassionate care.
