ULAB hosts marketing summit mindshift 2025

Setting a new benchmark for student-led marketing events, LAB Digital Marketing Club successfully hosted its flagship event, Bruvana presents 'MindShift: The Marketing Summit 2025' in association with bKash, on 21 August.
The summit brought together leading marketing professionals, academics, and students for a day of discussions, insights, and collaborative learning.
The highlight was an expert panel discussion moderated by Tarif Mohammad Khan, Head of Communications at Dekko ISHO Venture Capital. The panel featured Naveed Yakub, CEO, Bruvana; A.T.M. Mahbub Alam, EVP and Head of Payroll Business, bKash; Md. Shafiqul Islam Tushar, Chief Marketing Officer, Akij Bakers Ltd.; and Shabbir Ahmed, General Sales Manager, Berger Paints Ltd.
They addressed shifts in the marketing landscape, from evolving customer behaviour and digital transformation to strategies for emerging professionals. Students actively engaged in the Q&A session, asking questions about career preparation and adapting to changing consumer mindsets.
Another major attraction was the Marketing Strategy Design Competition based on Bruvana's newly launched product, Lola Popsicles. Judged by Azaz Ahmed, Adjunct Lecturer, ULAB School of Business, and Ishara Parvin, Copy Supervisor, Adcomm Ltd., the competition showcased students' creativity and strategic thinking.
Prof. Imran Rahman, Vice Chancellor of ULAB, stressed the importance of early industry engagement, noting that connecting students with industry leaders from the start is vital for future success. Prof. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, Dean of the ULAB School of Business, added that events like this equip students with practical insights and the confidence to step into the business world.
Tasnim Nazha Khan, President of the ULAB Digital Marketing Club, said: "Our mission has always been to strengthen the bond between academia and the corporate world. MindShift 2025 is a step toward creating meaningful interactions between our students and industry experts."
Organised by ULAB Digital Marketing Club, the summit was the largest marketing event in ULAB's history, earning enthusiastic participation and acclaim.
