UIU forms independent committee to investigate recent campus incidents

The Board of Trustees of United International University (UIU) has expressed deep concern over recent incidents on campus and the discourse unfolding across social media platforms.
In response to the evolving situation and to ensure that all decisions are grounded in verified facts amidst conflicting claims and narratives, the Board has committed to a process of thorough due diligence.
In line with UIU's pledge to uphold transparency and its broader vision of advancing education in Bangladesh, the Board has constituted an independent fact-finding committee. The committee is chaired by Professor Md Mujibur Rahman of the Department of Civil Engineering. Other members include Dr Sadid Muneer, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Dr Mohammad Tariq Hasan, Associate Professor at the School of Business and Economics, who will serve as Member Secretary.
The committee has been tasked with conducting a rigorous and impartial investigation into the incidents. It is expected to submit a detailed report within seven working days, outlining findings, evidence, and testimonies gathered in the course of the inquiry.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, fairness, and integrity, and assured the UIU community that it remains steadfast in its pursuit of academic excellence and contribution to national development.
