UCB Night recognises support of customers and partners

United Commercial Bank (UCB) held a memorable event, "UCB Night – A Celebration of New Beginnings," at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden to honor its loyal customers, industry partners, and stakeholders. The event recognized their vital role in UCB's journey and success.

Hosted by Azra Mahmood and Quazi Sabir, the evening began with a reflection on UCB's legacy, with Chairman Sharif Zahir and Managing Director & CEO Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid in attendance. The event highlighted UCB's ongoing transformation under new leadership, which aims to strengthen customer-centric digital banking services.

A theatrical performance, directed by Saiful Jarnal, commemorated the youth of the July-August 2024 movement and showcased UCB's commitment to its 'three zeros' vision—zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero carbon emissions. Guests were also entertained by musical performances from Arnob & Friends, Habib Wahid, and Runa Laila.

In a special segment, investigative journalist Zulkarnain Saer was honored virtually for his courageous reporting. Muktadir Rashid Romeo accepted the award on his behalf. UCB also presented a cheque to the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation in support of its efforts, with CEO Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdho and General Secretary Sarjis Alam receiving the donation.

Sharif Zahir, UCB Chairman, expressed his gratitude, saying, "We are entering a transformative phase, focusing on enhancing customer-friendly digital services. With continued support from our clients, we are confident UCB will reach new heights."

Founded in 1983, UCB operates 231 branches across Bangladesh, providing reliable banking services and supporting entrepreneurs. The event celebrated the bank's growth and its ongoing commitment to progressive banking and sustainable development.

The evening concluded with a sense of optimism as UCB's leadership, customers, and partners celebrated the bank's new chapter and the promising future ahead.
