The two-day letter festival "Dakpeon 3", organised by Himu Paribahan concludes

The two-day letter festival "Dakpeon 3," by Himu Paribahan, concludes today at the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro in Dhaka.
The event began yesterday and has attracted considerable interest from visitors of different generations. It offers a rare glimpse into the emotional world of handwritten letters.
In an era where digital communication dominates, "Dakpeon 3" seeks to revive the personal and emotional essence of letter writing. The exhibition features 64 carefully selected letters collected through an open call on social media from participants both within Bangladesh and abroad. The letters range from intimate personal exchanges to rare pieces authored by renowned figures, presenting a rich tapestry of human emotions and historical narratives.
The displayed letters are many decades old and reflect a time when communication carried a slower yet deeper resonance. Some letters remained unsent, preserving untold stories, while others travelled long distances, bridging gaps between loved ones.
The exhibition space has been curated with attention to detail, featuring vintage-themed decor, subdued lighting, and arrangements that allow visitors to engage closely with the handwritten texts.
On the opening day, visitors moved thoughtfully from one display to another, many pausing to read and absorb the sentiments captured in each piece. "This exhibition reminds us how powerful words can be when handwritten," said one attendee.
Today marks the final opportunity to visit "Dakpeon 3. " The exhibition will be open today from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Organisers encourage all to attend and experience the enduring charm of letters, a medium that once connected hearts across time and distance
