TikTok releases Q1 2025 community guidelines

TikTok has published its Q1 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, highlighting its continued commitment to providing a safe and secure digital environment for its users.
The report, which covers data from January to March 2025, outlines the proactive measures TikTok has taken to identify and remove content that violates its Community Guidelines, aiming to ensure a positive user experience globally.
In Q1 2025, TikTok removed a total of 11,006,960 videos in Bangladesh. The proactive removal rate in the country remained exceptionally high at 99.6%, with 97.7% of these videos being taken down within 24 hours of posting.
Globally, TikTok removed 211 million videos during this quarter, which accounts for approximately 0.9% of all content uploaded to the platform. Of the videos removed, 184,378,987 were identified and taken down using automated detection technologies, while 7,525,184 videos were reinstated after further review. The global proactive removal rate was 99.0%, with 94.3% of flagged content being removed within 24 hours of its initial posting.
The report also reveals that a significant portion of the removed content—30.1%—contained sensitive or mature themes that violated TikTok's content policies. Additionally, 11.5% of the videos breached the platform's safety and civility standards, 15.6% violated privacy and security guidelines, and 45.5% were flagged as misinformation. The remaining 13.8% of removed videos were flagged as edited media or AI-generated content.
