Tahsan launches Walton’s ‘Graviton’ passenger car battery series

Walton Micro-Tech Corporation has introduced seven models of its new 'Graviton' series car batteries, designed primarily for private cars, microbuses, pick-up vans, and CNG-run auto-rickshaws. Developed to ensure high performance and smooth driving experiences, these batteries are manufactured to meet Japanese standards and feature sealed, maintenance-free technology.
The launch event was held recently at Walton's Corporate Office in Dhaka, where renowned musician, actor, and television presenter Tahsan Khan inaugurated the new product line alongside Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC's Managing Director S M Mahbubul Alam, Director Zakia Sultana, and Walton Micro-Tech Corporation's CEO Nishat Tasnim Shuchi. Senior officials, distributors, and dealers also attended the ceremony.
The newly launched battery models include Graviton N50Z, Graviton N50ZL, Graviton NS40ZL, Graviton NS60L, Graviton NS70, Graviton NX120-7, and Graviton NX120-7L. Prices range from Tk 8,650 to Tk 15,600.
Addressing the gathering, S M Mahbubul Alam said, "Walton has become a national brand and a symbol of success for 'Made-in-Bangladesh' products. The launch of car batteries marks a significant milestone in Walton's ongoing advancement. It reflects our manufacturing capabilities, innovation, and commitment to customers. We plan to expand our product range to include low-maintenance car and commercial vehicle batteries, as well as solar and IPS batteries in the near future."
Nishat Tasnim Shuchi noted, "The domestic demand for car batteries is approximately five lakh units annually, with a market size exceeding Tk 300 crore. Our research and innovation team has conducted extensive studies over several years to meet this demand. Walton's new car battery models have been developed with a focus on quality, adhering to Japanese standards to ensure extended life cycles, superior cranking performance, and resilience in extreme weather conditions."
During the event, Abdullah Al Asif, Business Coordinator to the CEO of Walton Micro-Tech, and Nahid Al Mahmud, Head of the Car Battery Research and Innovation Department, presented insights into the manufacturing process, key features, and quality standards of the 'Graviton' batteries.
Currently, Walton manufactures and markets a range of international-standard batteries for cars, motorcycles, rechargeable fans, online UPSs, and emergency lighting solutions.
