State University, SERAC-Bangladesh sign deal on youth leadership, research
The State University of Bangladesh and SERAC-Bangladesh have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance research, expand student internship opportunities and launch joint initiatives in public health, education and social development.
The memorandum was formalised on 30 June 2026 at the State University of Bangladesh Seminar Room.
Treasurer Professor Hasan Kawser represented the State University of Bangladesh, while Executive Director SM Shaikat signed on behalf of SERAC-Bangladesh.
Through this partnership, both entities will collaborate to advance youth leadership and development, enhance research cooperation, provide internship opportunities, and organise joint training sessions, seminars, workshops, and community engagement programmes.
The collaboration is expected to create further opportunities in public health, education and social development.
Farhana Sharmin, Additional Registrar of the State University of Bangladesh, and Dr Izzy Justice were present as witnesses at the signing ceremony.
The initiative was led by Professor Md Anower Hussain, Chairman of the Department of Public Health at the State University of Bangladesh and Chairman of the Centre for National & International Cooperation.
Members of the Centre for National & International Cooperation, the Department of Public Health at the State University of Bangladesh and the SERAC-Bangladesh team also attended the ceremony.
Organisers expressed hope that the partnership will generate meaningful opportunities for students, researchers and communities in the coming years.
