Sonali Bank wins Gold at ICMAB corporate award
Sonali Bank PLC has received the Gold Award in the state-owned commercial bank category at the 15th ICMAB Best Corporate Award.
The award ceremony was held on Wednesday night at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka.
Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce Sk Bashir Uddin handed over the award to Sonali Bank Chairman Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury and Managing Director and CEO Md Shawkat Ali Khan.

Chairman of the National Board of Revenue Md Abdur Rahman Khan, Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman, Financial Reporting Council Chairman Md Sajjad Hossain Bhuiyan, ICMAB President Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, Sonali Bank Director Mohammed Jahangir Alam, Deputy Managing Director Md Abu Sayed and Chief Financial Officer Md Iqbal Hossain, among others, attended the ceremony.
According to the bank, the recognition reflects its commitment to transparency, accountability and sound corporate governance practices.
