The seventeenth Ascent Cup match held

After a day of rest (Monday) , the Premier teams were back in full form to play some football despite the struggle with the traffic. The games started at 6:00 pm at the STM Hall, with many teams in the Premier League looking at the winners going to the Cup Knock-out stage for the Cup and those for the plate.

ASUTEX

Securex started the game on the offensive with a lightning-speed cracker hitting the goal post and deflecting, with the Securex spectators screaming in delight. Asutex settled in from the offensive and in the first four minutes, Akash put one in the net for Asutex. The gloom in the STM hall was prominent! By half time, Akash had netted two more. It was clear that Securex had lost its composure after halftime, and Asutex'  Nafi managed to put in two more without much effort. Securex took a beating of five-zero to Asutex

 RAHMAH FARMS

Sunday evening's red card to Rahmah's Tushar impacted their game but the team played well without their striker against Petromax. Both teams were well pitted against each other, and it was a neck-to-neck battle, with neither side giving a quarter. Both the goals scored by Petromax were stunning and not to be pushed aside; Rahma gave back two goals to draw the match. Since a decision was required on the last game for the group, the two teams had to go in for a penalty shootout. Petromax edged in with the winning penalty  three-two

ASCENT GROUP

After a thirty-minute break, Securex returned to the pitch to face Title sponsors Ascent Group. This was the game the Security Experts were waiting for. Once again, Sabuj ran like a lightning streak in the first two minutes to smash the first goal in for Securex. That was all it took for Securex to dominate the game, and Sabuj and Tanvir were on the offensive with some strategic passes. Sabuj netted a hattrick with four goals in the game, and Tanvir netted one for Securex just before Faruk of Ascent scored one. Total score Securex five-Ascent-one

ASUTEX

Ascent took a thirty-minute break after the Securex game to end the playoff for the Night. Asutex's Akash had an excellent day pulling up his Goal average tonight. This is the 5th year running for Asutex, and over the years, this team has matured into a well-oiled machine, understanding the game and the power of coordinated passing. Ascent struggled against these players, with Asutex Akash taking three goals and Parvez netting one, and Ascent scored a solitary goal by Arman

All in all, today's games were exciting, and the audience witnessed some excellent football. Tomorrow brings another day of excitement.
