The Department of Economics at Southeast University (SEU), in collaboration with the Centre for Zakat Management (CZM), organised a seminar titled "SEU-CZM 20 Taka Sadaqah Fund: A Welfare Initiative for the Students" to Promote Student Welfare through small and voluntary contributions.
Professor Dr Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Honourable Vice-Chancellor of SEU, delivered the keynote address. He emphasised the significance of establishing a Sadaqah fund to provide support for financially challenged students and encouraged the culture of giving, even in small amounts.
Special Guests Prof. Mokhtar Ahmad and Mr. Arastoo Khan from CZM discussed the values and principles of Sadaqah and shared CZM's ongoing efforts in institutionalising charitable giving.
