Samsung secures global recognition for quantum dot technology
Samsung QLED TVs have earned TÜV Rheinland's 'Real Quantum Dot Display' certification, confirming their status as genuine quantum dot displays.
Quantum dots, tiny semiconductor particles, enable pure and vibrant colours. With this technology, Samsung QLED TVs deliver 100% colour volume (certified by PANTONE and VDE), uniform brightness, consistent colour from any angle, and reduced blue light for a more comfortable viewing experience.
TÜV Rheinland reviewed Samsung QLED TVs under IEC guidelines and confirmed a clear separation of red, green, and blue light—an important marker for colour accuracy. The new 2025 Series Q8F and Q7F QLED 4K models also secured the certification.
Shahriar Bin Lutfor, Director & Head of Business, Samsung Consumer Electronics Division, said: "This certification proves that our QLED TVs deliver the most authentic picture quality powered by real quantum dot technology. For the first time, in response to consumer demand, we have introduced a complete lineup ranging from 43" to 85". With the 2025 lineup, we are proud to bring this recognition to customers in Bangladesh."
SGS also certified Samsung's quantum dot technology as cadmium-free and eco-friendly, reinforcing the company's commitment to sustainability.
