Professor Mostafa Kamal made BMU registrar
Bangladesh Medical University has appointed Professor Dr Md Mostafa Kamal as its new registrar, effective immediately.
Professor Kamal, currently chairman of the Department of Anaesthesia, Analgesia and Intensive Care Medicine at BMU, will assume the additional role alongside his existing duties, according to a university statement.
The appointment was confirmed by an office order signed by BMU Additional Registrar Md Hafizur Rahman on 21 April.

The order states that Professor Kamal will receive all facilities in accordance with the university's established rules and regulations.
Professor Kamal also serves as president of the Bangladesh Society of Anaesthesiologists, Critical Care and Pain Physicians.
He is recognised for significant contributions to research in anaesthesiology and pain medicine, and for his leadership within the professional society.
Teachers, physicians, and staff at BMU have expressed confidence that the university and the country's healthcare services will advance further under Professor Kamal's leadership and vision.
