Prime Bank, SAU inspire students on financial inclusion
Prime Bank PLC, in collaboration with Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) and its Outreach Programme department, organised a seminar on "Financial Inclusion: Engaging & Inspiring Youth in Banking" under its flagship PrimeAcademia initiative.
SAU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Abdul Latif attended as chief guest and stressed that financial inclusion is key to sustainable development and youth empowerment. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Belal Hossain, Treasurer Professor Dr Md Abul Bashar, and Outreach Programme Director Professor Dr Mohammad Zamshed Alam also underscored the importance of financial literacy and leadership skills for students.
From Prime Bank, Deputy Managing Director (HR) Ziaur Rahman delivered the keynote, highlighting the bank's focus on youth career development, women's empowerment, and inclusive banking. Senior EVP and Head of Liability Shaila Abedin discussed youth-focused banking initiatives, while SVP and Head of Financial Inclusion and School Banking M M Mahbub Hasan emphasised financial literacy as a driver of inclusive growth.
Both Prime Bank and SAU reaffirmed their commitment to industry–academia collaboration through research, student initiatives, and skill development programmes.
The event drew enthusiastic participation from faculty, students, and senior officials, inspiring youth to align their future with financial inclusion and national progress.
