Prime Bank Investment, New Asia Group sign MoU for investment, wealth management services
Prime Bank Investment PLC (PBIL), the investment banking arm and a wholly owned subsidiary of Prime Bank PLC, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with New Asia Group to expand access to investment, wealth management and capital market solutions for the group's employees.
The agreement was signed by Reza Masud Al Huda, Head of Portfolio Management at Prime Bank Investment, and Muhammad Zakir Hossain, FCMA, Senior Chief Financial Officer of New Asia Group, at the group's headquarters on 12 August 2026, in the presence of members of its management team, according to a press release.
Under the partnership, New Asia Group employees will have access to professional investment and wealth management services and capital market solutions. New Asia Group will also receive investment banking services covering equity and capital raising, mergers and acquisitions and related areas.
Buddha Deb Karmakor, CFO of Knit Asia Ltd, a concern of New Asia Group, said the agreement would help bridge the gap between employees and accessible, tax-rebate-eligible investment opportunities.
Prime Bank Investment has more than 16 years of investment banking experience in Bangladesh and provides portfolio management, trustee and corporate advisory services. Its flagship discretionary portfolio management service, Prime Invest, aims to provide investors with structured opportunities to participate in the capital market.
Through the partnership, New Asia Group and Prime Bank Investment aim to strengthen investment and wealth management literacy among employees and create a more structured pathway for them to access capital market investment opportunities.
