Premier Bank holds workshop on respectful workplace culture
The Premier Bank PLC's Human Resources Division hosted an awareness workshop titled 'Respectful Workplace Culture' at the Learning and Talent Development Centre, head office in Banani, Dhaka, on 12 April 2026, to strengthen the bank's commitment to a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
Dr Arifur Rahman, Chairman of The Premier Bank PLC, inaugurated the programme.
Notable attendees included independent and executive directors, the Head of Human Resources, and other senior officials.
Professor Dr Fouzia Mannan, Chairperson and Principal of East West University and member of the UGC Sexual Harassment Committee, served as guest speaker.
In her address, she emphasised the importance of mutual respect, personal boundaries, and cultivating a positive workplace culture. She explained that these values, highlighted in the workshop, encourage staff to reflect on daily behaviours and language, promoting a healthier and more respectful work environment.
In his opening remarks, Dr Arifur Rahman stated that the initiative would help foster a positive environment rooted in mutual respect among employees.
M Nurul Alam remarked that building an inclusive work environment demands awareness, responsibility, and cooperation from every member of the organisation.
Md Monjur Mofiz underscored the significance of professionalism, empathy, and a culture of trust in the workplace.
