Premier Bank achieves ISO 27001:2022 certification for information security
The Premier Bank PLC has achieved ISO 27001:2022 certification for its Information Security Management System, a milestone in its information security and cybersecurity management.
According to the press release, the certification covers the bank's Information Technology Division, IT Security and Governance Division, Human Resources Division, data centre, and disaster recovery site.
The bank formally handed the certificate to Managing Director Md Monzur Mofiz at its head office at Shanta Pinnacle during the ceremony.

Mirza Azhar Ahmad, deputy managing director and chief operating officer; Anirban Haq, senior executive vice president and acting chief risk officer; Md Kamruzzaman, senior executive vice president and head of the Consumer Banking Division; and Abu Md Sabbir Hassan Chowdhury, executive vice president and CITO, attended the ceremony.
Also present were Sheikh Mohammad Fuad, executive vice president and head of the ADC Division; Md Moinul Huq Shiraze, vice president and head of human resources (in charge); Md Fazlur Rahman, first vice president and head of GSD (current charge); Kh Golam Sarwar, senior assistant vice president and chief information security officer; and other senior officials of the bank.
Tarek Ahmed, regional manager for marketing and sales, attended on behalf of Bureau Veritas, an international testing, inspection and certification organisation operating in Bangladesh.
Moshiul Islam, chief executive officer of EIC Limited, also attended the ceremony. The consulting firm supported the bank throughout the certification process.
Premier Bank said it remained committed to safeguarding customer information and effectively managing cyber risks. It said the international certification recognised its capability to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.
The bank said the achievement reflected its continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards of information security and protecting customer data.
