Penthouse Livings celebrates Rafiq Azam’s architectural legacy
Penthouse Livings has honoured Professor Architect Rafiq Azam, Principal Architect at SHATOTTO architecture, for green living at the second edition of its "Hall of Fame" series, recognising his impact on Bangladesh's architectural landscape.
The event marked his three decades of contributions to architecture and brought together corporate leaders, architects, design enthusiasts, media professionals, and other distinguished guests, according to the press release. Zannat Jui, his wife and partner at SHATOTTO, attended the event along with the Director of Operations at Meghna Executive Holdings, Ashique Un Nabi; the General Manager at Penthouse Livings, Anisur Rahman; and the Head of Marketing at Meghna Executive Holdings, Nafeez Imtiaz Karim.
The programme began with a live painting session by Professor Architect Rafiq Azam, followed by a screening of "Between Light and Earth," a cinematic tribute exploring his architectural philosophy.
He later discussed design, nature and green living during a close-circle presentation.
To mark the occasion, Professor Architect Rafiq Azam wrote a message for future generations, to be preserved in a time capsule for 10 years. He also signed his official portrait, now permanently installed on the Penthouse Livings Hall of Fame wall.
Through the Hall of Fame initiative, Penthouse Livings aims to recognise design visionaries whose work reflects artistic responsibility, heritage and enduring purpose.
