NRBC Bank holds RMC meeting
The Risk Management Committee of NRBC Bank held its meeting on Wednesday at the bank's head office in the capital.
The meeting was chaired by Md Nurul Haque, Independent Director and Chairman of the Risk Management Committee. Other participants included Independent Directors Md Anwar Hossain and Professor Dr Syed Abul Kalam Azad; Dr Touhidul Alam Khan, Managing Director and CEO; Mohammad Ahsan Habib, Company Secretary; and Serajul Amin Ahmed, Head of the Risk Management Division.
The meeting reviewed key issues related to risk governance, regulatory compliance, asset quality, and emerging vulnerabilities in the financial sector. Committee members discussed risk mitigation strategies aligned with Bangladesh Bank's guidelines and international standards.
Managing Director Dr. Khan emphasised the importance of maintaining robust internal controls, early warning systems, and data-driven decision-making to navigate current macroeconomic challenges.
The committee reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the bank's risk culture, particularly in credit risk assessment, liquidity management, and operational resilience.
