In collaboration with its Career Development Club, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) organised the National Career Fest 2025 on January 11 and 12 at the university's permanent campus.

The two-day event aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry. It featured participation from over 100 companies from various universities, colleges, and relevant sectors, along with 4,000+ job seekers and 20,000+ visitors. Job seekers had the opportunity to connect directly with top employers and participate in on-the-spot interviews. The event also included workshops, seminars, and panel discussions.

At the inaugural ceremony of the fest, the Chief Guest was Mr A Matin Chowdhury, Managing Director of New Asia Group. The event was presided over by Mr. Farooq Hasan, Chairman of the BUFT Board of Trustees, while the Special Guest was Mr. Sayed Arefin, Managing Director of ANDIE. BUFT's Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Engr, delivered the welcome address. Ayub Nabi Khan. The closing ceremony is set to feature prominent figures such as Mr Md. Anwar Hossain, Administrator of BGMEA; Mr Mohammad Hatem, President of BKMEA; Mr Sharif Zahir, Chairman of UCB; Mr Mofazzal Hossain Pavel, President of BGBA; and Mr Al Shahriar, President of BGAPMEA, making it a vibrant and engaging conclusion.

Channel 24, The Business Standard, Bonik Barta, The Daily Campus, Excellence Bangladesh, Textile Focus, Textile Today, TBS Graduates, and Best Tuition proudly provided media sponsorship.

In his speech, the Chief Guest emphasised the importance of linguistic proficiency, leadership qualities, and the ability to adapt one's mindset to changing circumstances. He stated, "Life cannot be sustained by grades or degrees alone. Due to a lack of proficiency in the English language, we are compelled to follow the leadership of others.
