MTB foundation launches safe water and sanitation project in lakshmipur

The MTB Foundation has inaugurated a Water Access Hub and sanitation facilities under its project, Jol Torongo, for the vulnerable community of Char Alexander in Lakshmipur.
The Water Access Hub is expected to improve access to clean and safe water, while the sanitation facilities will promote dignity and privacy for marginalised groups. The initiative directly contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and 15 (Life on Land).
The project aims to address the long-standing safe water and sanitation crisis in Char Alexande and benefit a large underprivileged population.
The inauguration was attended by MTB Foundation CEO Samia Chowdhury and Associate Golam Rabbani. Wahidul Islam Sikder, director of Shepherds Bangladesh, was also present at the event.
